The Leela Stories is a small independent library run by one person. This page says plainly what the site stores, who else can see it, and how to have it removed. If anything here is unclear, write to hello@leelastories.com.

What the site collects

What the site does not do

There are no analytics, no advertising trackers, no third-party cookies, and no pixels. Nothing about your reading is sold, shared for advertising, or used to build a profile of you. Your email address is not added to any mailing list without you asking for it.

Cookies and browser storage

A sign-in cookie keeps you logged in, and a small locale cookie remembers your language. Your browser also keeps a few preferences locally — text size, and notes on private pages — which never leave your device unless the page says otherwise.

Who else handles this information

Each of them sees only what their job requires, and each has its own privacy policy.

Keeping and deleting it

Your account and its reading history are kept for as long as the account exists. Write to hello@leelastories.com and ask, and the account and everything attached to it will be deleted. You can also ask for a copy of what is stored, or for something to be corrected. Records of a purchase may be kept longer where tax law requires it.

Children

The site is not intended for children under 13, and accounts are not knowingly created for them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Anything that materially affects existing readers will be said clearly rather than quietly edited in.
