These are the terms on which The Leela Stories is offered. Using the site means accepting them. They are meant to be readable rather than exhaustive; if something seems unfair or unclear, write to hello@leelastories.com.
Your account
Use an email address you actually control, and keep your password to yourself. An account belongs to one person. You are responsible for what happens under yours, so tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into it.
The writing
Every story, chapter, and translation on this site is original work and remains the property of its author. Reading it — including any chapter you have bought or unlocked — gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to read it here. It does not give you the right to republish it, sell it, or pass it on.
Please do not scrape the site, copy chapters in bulk, or use the text to train machine learning models. Automated collection of the writing is not permitted without written permission.
Free chapters and paid access
Some chapters are free to read. Others may require a purchase or a membership. Where payment applies, it is handled by PayPal, prices are shown before you commit, and any membership continues until you cancel it from your PayPal account. Cancelling stops future charges; access continues to the end of the period already paid for.
If something goes wrong with a purchase — charged twice, paid but not unlocked — write in and it will be put right.
Using the site fairly
Do not attempt to break, overload, or find your way around the parts of the site that decide who may read what. Do not use the site for anything unlawful.
Availability
This is a small site run by one person. It is offered as it is, without a guarantee that it will always be available or free of faults, and stories may be revised, reordered, or withdrawn. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.
Ending things
You may stop using the site and ask for your account to be deleted at any time. An account may be closed from this end if it is used to redistribute the writing or to attack the site — with a refund of anything paid for and not yet received, where that is fair.
Changes
These terms may change as the site grows. The date at the top will change with them, and material changes will be pointed out rather than slipped in.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Mumbai have jurisdiction over any dispute.
